The Chanel Home of Compassion – Fiji  located in Suva is a not-for-profit charitable nursing Home that provides for nursing and specialized care for the disabled, elderly, sick, including palliative and respite care, convalescent and long term care.

The Home is seeking to employ suitably qualified, mature and experienced individuals with medical background to the following positions:
1. Manager:
Reporting to the Board of Trustees the Manager is to ensure the Home operates within the philosophy , spirit and mission of the Sisters of Compassion, whilst remaining a viable operation.
Key responsibilities will include:-
– Establishing and maintain a management framework for the Home.
– Liaising with the Board through participation in strategic meeting.
– Responsible for the overall operation, marketing and financial viability of the Home.
– Oversight of the comfort and care of residents.
– Ensure equipment and property are properly managed and maintained.
– Assessing the needs of residents and create, update and implement residents’ care plans that helps each person live a fuller life.
– Ensuring procedures are carried out to the highest standards, optimizing the wellbeing of every resident.
– Administration of medication, completion of audits and pre-assessment of residents
– Working closely with the team to create an environment that delivers skilled nursing care, clear communication, and respect and dignity for everyone.
Qualifications and Experience
– Proven experience in a management position, ideally in the medical field.
– Experience in financial reporting.
– Possesses a mature, caring, pleasant disposition and ability to relate with stakeholders and the community.

– Strategic thinker and solution focused.

2. Registered Nurse:
The Registered Nurse reports to the Manager and is responsible for the administration and care of residents, and management of the caregiving staff.
Key responsibilities will include:
– Assessing the needs of residents and create, update and implement residents’ care plans that helps each person live a fuller life.
– Ensuring procedures are carried out to the highest standards, optimizing the wellbeing of every resident.
– Administration of medication, completion of audits and pre-assessment of residents.
– Working closely with the team to create an environment that delivers skilled nursing care, clear communication, and respect and dignity for everyone.
Qualifications and Experience
– Proven experience in general and geriatric nursing
– Leadership experience
– Possesses a mature, caring, pleasant disposition and ability to relate with stakeholders and the community.

– Strategic thinker and solution focused.
